Clair Knits with Flat Feet

Flat Feet Sock Yarn (now discontinued) was made by Conjoined Creations. Instead of putting up the yarn into skeins or balls, the creators machine knit undyed yarn into flat pieces, then applied color so that each set of two pieces was unlike any other. Marguerite was clearing out extra yarn from her collection, so I thought I'd give the Flat Feet experience a try. Thanks, Marguerite!

The yarn is pulled off the flat as you knit. As you can see, the yarn is naturally kinky from its first knitting, but that was no problem.

Here is the first sock together with the leftover section of its flat.  The second sock (no surprise!) looks exactly like this one.

Kathy D., staying cool up in Washington for the summer, tells me that she has just completed a similar Flat Feet sock project in pastel shades. I can't wait to see the results.
