A Simple Baby Hat with a Rolled Brim, from Kathy D

These little hats can be made to match baby sweaters for the Syrian Refugee Project. You can see some knitted samples here: http://sitknitshare.blogspot.com/2018/03/free-baby-sweater-patterns-for-our.html

Size 7 double-pointed needles (but Kathy uses a #3 or #4).

DK weight yarn: Cast on 64 stitches
Worsted weight yarn: Cast on 56 stitches

Knit in the round until 4 inches long (can go up to 5 1/2 inches)

Begin decreases:

  1. K6, K2 tog
  2. K5, K2 tog
  3. K
  4. K4, K2 tog
  5. K
  6. K3, K2 tog
  7. K
  8. K
  9. K2, K2 tog
  10. K
  11. K1, K2 tog
  12. K2 tog
May be finished with a bit of i-cord at the top. Just start making the cord when you have three stitches left on the needle.
