Here are most of the bears (and O'Malley Cat) that I have been knitting!  For those of you who don't know, they are trauma teddies that I make to give to those children who have suffered some sort of trauma.  Thanks to Diane and Karen for twisting my arm to make them in the first place!  Thanks to my daughter, Laura, for the wonderful photos!

O'Malley Loves the A-Word As Much As Jean Does

Psst: If you've spent any time around Jean and our Sit and Stitch group, you will already know that "the A-word" refers to alpaca, arguably the loveliest yarn of all. 

That's what Jean says. And apparently her cat O'Malley agrees. He is a fan of all things fiber, as you can see from his admiration of the basket from Ghana, above. 

And here O'Malley has the best of all possible worlds: A hand-woven basket, and a bag of alpaca yarn. Look closely and you will see that he has pulled a tiny pillow of the yarn out of the bag to cushion his head. Note the smile.  

We love a cat who knows his fibers.
